NHS BLOOD CAMPAIGN.

 1) What does BAME stand for?  black and minority ethnic.


2) Why is there a need for blood in the BAME community? this is because only 3% of the donors who gave blood are either black or asian.

3) What does this advert want people to do once they've seen it (the 'call to action')? to inspire and motivate more people to join the blood campaign and to give their donors to the people in need

4) Why is the advert called 'Represent'? to show and stand up for their ethnic back rounds 


5) Why have the producers chosen famous BAME celebrities to feature in the advert? Give an example of three well-known people who appear in the advert and why they are famous - make sure you write their names and spell them accurately.  Nicole adams is a record breaking boxer & Lady Leshurr is a grime and hip hop artists and has won many awards

6) What are the connotations of the slow-paced long shot of empty chairs at the end of the advert?  it connotes that it shows barely anyone in the black and minority ethnic back rounds . so by that it will encourage the audience to step foot and give out blood in order to make people to sit in those chairs.

8)How does the advert subvert steryotypes? give three examples (e.g. ethnicity, masculinity , femininity , age , class , disability/ability etc,)  It clearly shows there is a black empowering female up there and more of the diversity of a Muslim female being a scientist , it also shows a man who is disabled who is very successful and happy which implies that you do not need to be a 'perfect' or a 'normal' person to do anything or to be anything. You just need to show your inner power and self to be who you desire to be and with that you can BE anything.
 
7) How does the advert match the key coventions of a typical music urban video? that it is filmed near a place where is not clean and on top of a roof top. 

9) How does the advert reinforce certain stereotypes of the BAME community? Could there be an oppositional reading where some audiences would find this advert offensive or reinforcing negative stereotypes? this is because rarely do the media talk about the BAME especially the black origin and how much of a great show or performance they put on or what an amazing REPRESENTATION they are but however the media sees it as 'artistic' .
