Costume - what is Lyra wearing in the photo below? What does this costume suggest she is doing / she is like as a character? Lyra is wearing a connected jean dress , with a bedroll on her back. This costume clearly suggests that Lyra is ready for her action towards what she is supposed to do and finish. Her costume is also quite messy and dirty as she does not really pay attention to how she looks. This is clearly subversive because most women care about what they wear and care about how they look , however , Lyra is more focussed on her mission. Costume: Mrs Coulter is always very smart and formal with red lips and styled hair. What does this suggest about the type of villain she is / her character? This suggests that she is representing that the colour red is the sign or evil and danger. This shows that she is a dangerous type of women villain.
